Wooden handle, painted black, attached to a metal tape measurer holder, shaped like an 'X'. The tape itself is metal. Written on it: ""The Lufkin Rule Co., Saginaw Mich., Made in U.S.A." and "Chrome Clad." There is a silver metal turn crank on top with "100FT" stamped into the metal. Metal tape measure wound around 'X'.
