Description:
Round metal cylindrical object has round handles protruding from each end. Center of object is wooden. (Similar to rolling pin).
An idler is part of machine — rope or cable conveyor belt (Tom Pittman 1987).
Notes:
Discovered in 1949 by Dr. & Mrs. I.J. Montgomery on beach below Douglas (Treadwell Mine Complex).
Mrs. Ethel Montgomery lived at 2411 Douglas Hwy. until her death about 1990.
