Description:
Small horizontal rectangular oil painting. Oil on canvas affixed to fiberboard. Top and bottom edges of canvas are up to 0.25 inches wider than fiberboard and partially curl around edges of board. Corners and center of upper and lower edges are pierced with small round holes, probably from tacking painting to wall. Lower right corner has some tiny paint losses. One small paint loss near left edge. Scene is of rushing stream in foreground with blue mountains in background. Black marker inscription on back. Framed in small wooden frame, painted black. Reverse of frame has remnants of paper backing. Reverse of fiberboard gouged by frame's finishing nails. Varnished with damar varnish. Frame not original with painting removed February 25, 2000.
Inscription: "39— Mts & Creek" on back.
