Description:
A — Ainsworth long—beam button assay balance. Black glass and painted aluminum case. Glass top and four sides, including glass sliding door. 20 centimeter beam.
B—C — Two equipment drawers in case.
D — .5 inch by .625 inch by 4 inches tweezers. Stainless steel with white plastic tips.
E — .5 inch by 1 inch by 5l.5 inches brush. Dark bristles. Wood handle. "1/2" / M. GRUMBACHER N.Y. 3651 U.S.A."
F — .625 inch by 2.5 inches diameter set of scale weights. Black Bakelite round case. "Wm. AINSWORTH & SONS / NO. 100 / DENVER, COLO, U.S.A." embossed on front of case. Brass screw separates case to open. Contains 12 tiny silver weights of 1 gram and two pieces fine wire (riders). Green felt case lining.
G — 1.5 inches by 1.625 inches by 1.75 inches small round poly snap—lid case marked "Pans" containing:
H—I — two .125 inch by .875 inch diameter tiny black pans.
J—K — Two .125 inch by .875 inch diameter tiny silver—colored metal pans.
L—M — .5 inch by 1.75 inches by 3 inches assay balance stirrups and hangers. Silver wire with stirrup hangers to set on balance beam. Red agate insets at contact points.
N — 5 inches by 7 inches "Instructions for Setting Up and Cleaning / Ainsworth Assay Balance". Sheet printed on two sides.
O — 5.375 inches by 8.875 inches "Wm Ainsworth & Sons / … / Certificate of Test". Printed sheet "Set No. 100T / Serial #15998".
P — Same as "O". "Set No. 4050 / Serial No. 18633".
