Notes:
"Painting was given to the Juneau Public Library for its 20th anniversary in the present location in 2009. We have no place to display it securely under light conditiosn that will preserve it. We felt that the City Museum was a better home for it, since that is where Ms> DeArmond spent her career when the building was the library."
Information given by Barbara Berg the Director at the time of donation.

Sharron Lobaugh moved to Juneau in 1962 after receiving her BFA from Washington State University. Lobaugh served on the first Alaska State Council on the Arts. The artist works mostly with watercolors painting natural scenes that are so abundant in Alaska. After being overwhelmed with the art business, Sharron took a ten year hiatus from the art world. Once retired from her regular job at the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Sharron Lobaugh returned to art with new energy and perspective.
