Description:
A—B — Ice skates have black stained leather shoes and steel blades. Boots have tightly woven black shoelaces, 24 black grommets for laces, insulated tongue and inner soles, and one—piece stitched sole. Inner heels lined with leather inside shoe lined with green fabric. Toe and heel plates have hollow diminishing columns that attach to tubular hollow piece to which is riveted an eighth—inch wide slightly curved blade that curves continuously to toe. Toe has notched "brakes" at front on blade. Blue and gold label inside tongue.
Inscription: NORTH SIDE / SHOE / REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. / NESTOR JOHNSON / SKATES / "THEY GO LIKE LIGHTNING" on label.
"NORTH SIDE TRADE MARK / NESTOR JOHNSON / MFG. CO. CHICAGO / "THEY GO LIKE LIGHTNING / 6" on sole plate
C—D — Leather blade guards have two tabbed snaps and two pieces of thick leather stitched together along bottom edges.
Inscription: "CORRINNE JENNE / JUNEAU, ALASKA / MILLS COLLEGE, CALIF" on both sides of both guards.
