Description:
1952 printing of 1932 6th edition USC & GS navigation chart 8229 titled "SLOCUM AND LIMESTONE INLETS AND TAKU HARBOR." Scale 1:20,000. Pale yellow and black ink. Blue stamp on lower end of chart exhibits restricted status of charts released for wartime security. Stamp incompletely printed "RESTRICTED(?)/NO. 26 JUN 27/U.S.C. & G.S./Washington D.C." "17314" hand written on lower left corner.
Notes:
Used by Thomas S. Parke on the boats Barbara V and Tiller Tramp 1950's—1980s. Used by M.A. Parke 1980's—90's. "17314" is the chart number under the new numbering system put into use during 1970's(?).
Restricted stamps were placed on charts released during and after WWII. Chart information was restricted for security purposes.
Cleaned both sides with GONZO vulcanized rubber soot sponge.
