Object has two arms, help together at one end by a ring. Ring has a small cylindrical handle on its top. At the center of the two arms is a thumbscrew. Thumbscrew is positioned between the two arms and is used to set the distance between the tips of the instrument. The tips are both sharp, pointed steel nibs.
