Description:
Medium—blue corduroy baseball—style cap with 3—inch bill. Cord across base of bill. Blue plastic size—adjustment band in back. Self—covered .625—inch metal button on crown of cap. Crown constructed of five pieces. Plastic web stiffener sewn into crown of hat. Grosgrain tape forms headband. Bottom of bill is green knit fabric. Fish logo on front of hat.
Inscriptions:
On front: "50to/GOLDEN NORTH SALMON DERBY/SPONSORED BY TERRITORIAL SPORTSMEN/JUNEAU AK"
On back of cap: "SPORTSMEN FOR WILDLIFE CONSERVATION"

Notes:
Donated by Mary Ann Parke who was given the hat by Territorial Sportsmen, Inc. when volunteering at the Auke Bay check—in float during the 50th annual Golden North Salmon Derby. Hats were made for volunteers for years about 1996 to present (2001 or 55th).
