Description:
Fancy antique hydraulic Koken barber chair made of metal with chrome and upholstered in red leather. Seat squared at front, rounded at back, can be lifted out to reveal fluid reservoir for chair. Seat inserts into two holes with wooden pegs. Back squared at bottom and rounded at top; tips back on two pivot points at each side. Adjustable upholstered headrest features paper dispenser. Arms upholstered in red leather, except for front ends, which are chromed. Chromed hydraulic lever on proper right. Three sections of footrest have decorative elements: red upholstered cushion at calf; diagonal cutouts in metal; art nouveau—style cutout in hinged footrest with "KOKEN" in center; and curls/scrollwork in metal of pivoting footrest with "KOKEN" in center. Reverse of pivoting footrest has red upholstered leather cushion. Base flares out to chromed ring and alternating wide strips of creamy white and dark red plastic decorate the base.
