Description:
Nearly square tablecloth of handwoven natural linen with seam up center, decorative "pulled" edging in fabric and colorful embroidered decoration. Decoration is Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau in style, with foliage and roses in each corner and in center. Roses appear in two tones of pink, foliage is brown and green, and abstract purple symbol in each corner and paired in center.
Notes:
Handwoven by Frances Herring Piendl as young girl in Germany from linen family produced. Frances moved to America circa 1928. Tablecloth and napkins were gift to her cousin, Bertha Hoff (sister of donor). See document file
