Object has two arms that are connected at one end. At the end where the arms are connected is a knurled metal, cylindrical handle that screws into the top of the arms. At the center of the arms is a thumb screw which sets the distance between the tips of the two arms. At the tips, there are small thumb screws on each arm. One thumb screw holds a pencil led nib in place. The other thumb screw holds a steel nib in place. Oxidation is visible on the steel surface of the object
