Small Oval Plate w/ CPR Name & Logo, Princess Sophia

Description:
Small white oval plate decorated with three very narrow stripes on outer edge; inner and outer lines are green; center line, red. Break in pattern has space for company name. Logo has flag in center with name around circle, belt buckle at bottom. Center of plate is 5.5 inches by 3.5 inches with a one—inch raised rim. On back is manufacturer's symbol and name in England and company name in Vancouver, B.C.
Inscription on front: Canadian Pacific Railway Co.
On back: Frederick Buscombe & Co. Ltd / Vancouver B.C.
Notes:
Believed to have been used on "Princess Sophia" which sank at Vanderbilt Reed near Juneau in 1918.
Plate was unnumbered for years, used annually for Sea Week activity since at least 1988. Assumed to be part of Green/Nelson donation. Pattern on dish is known as "Tremblant" per local diver Annette G.E. Smith
