Large cobalt blue glass bottle: "Jno Wyeth & Bro"
Description:
Tall, straight sided large cobalt blue glass bottle with hemispherical shoulder area, small neck and tooled tip. Just below shoulder in raised letters: "JNO WYETH & BRO PHILADA". Cork rests inside at bottom.
Notes:
Found by someone doing survey work in mine area, according to donor. John Wyeth (1834 — 1909) & his brother, Frank, ran a drugstore in Philadelphia beginning in 1860. Son, Stewart, took over in 1907, died 1929. American Home Products took over in 1931. Known today as Wyeth—Ayerst. Known for eyewash. This may be refill bottle?
