Wood Stave Water Pipe.
Length of wooden pipe coiled with .25—inch diameter iron wire. Pipe constructed of eight staves or concave lengths of wood joined closely, barrel—fashion. Pipe is 8 inches in diameter with 6—inch wide. 9.5—inch diameter wooden collar at one end. Midway down is metal collar approximately 10 inches in diameter and 1 inch wide made of two halves bolted together at opposite ends.

Notes:
Found in Cope Park in 1989 near old bridge site behind swimming pool site, hill side of road. All potable water was carried by wood stave pipes before 1959.
