Axe. Single bit, 2.5 pound utility axe.
Wooden handle is pointed at end and the body makes a slight S—curve as it fits into the metal head. About a third of the way from the bottom, there is black tape. The metal head is rectangular shaped. It slopes down away from the handle into a point, as it does this is also fans out a little. "SP" is stamped on the top of the head and "2 1/2" is stamped on the bottom of the head.

Stamped "2 1/2", bottom of flat side of head. This is the weight of the axe head.
