Description:
Oval 1987 Salmon Derby pin made of steel with front side surface decorated with logo, lettering and date. Back is shiny silver surface with pin attached. Front is light blue with dark blue text. Text reads:" GOLDEN NORTH \ SALMON DERBY \ AUG. 14,15,16 1987 JUNEAU, ALASKA". Between the "SALMON DERBY" and date lines there is an illustration of a fish (a salmon) swimming through water. The illustration is dark blue and white. The salmon is facing the proper right side of the pin.
Notes:
Owned and preserved by donor, a longtime Juneau resident and presumably derby volunteer. She goes by "Frankie".
