Description:
Rectangular olive—green metal box with top section attached by six latches. Top section also has flip—up lid with label: "Signal Corps radio receiver and transmitter BC—1000". Exposed section of top has buttons or dials for "Off", "Volume", "Mic.", "Phone No. 1," "Aux. Phone" and short antenna. Under lid are dials or buttons for "Off", "Relay", dial lock, tuning, squelch, and small glass window showing channel. Tabs for six more latches at bottom indicate radio is incomplete. Four canvas straps with buckles extend from bottom, along with very large round plug. Adjustable canvas carrying strap attached with clips to "D" rings screwed into sides of radio.
