Description:
A—B — 8 inches by 8 inches by 1 inch plates.
C — 5 inches by 5 inches by .75 inches saucer.
D & E— 2.5 inches by 3.375 inches by 2.625 inches cups.
All have partial light blue coloring, overlaid with gold decoration, grading to light green towards the center of plates and towards base of teacups. Centers of plates (A, B) and front of cups (D, E) have round image of buildings. Scalloped edges on A, B, C.
Inscription: A — "GOVERNMENT COURTHOUSE, JUNEAU, ALASKA."
B & D — "JUNEAU PUBLIC SCHOOL, JUNE 3, 1907."
E — "FRONT STREET, JUNEAU, ALASKA. LOOKING WEST."
"MADE IN GERMANY" in two concentric red circles on reverse of all.
Notes:
Belonged to John Arvid Hempel & Eva Axelia Anderson, parents of donor. May have previously belonged to George F. Forrest.
