4—inch Nozzle for a Hydraulic Monitor
Round rusted metal nozzle. Wide at base with narrower body (straight, not curved). Inside base is threated with two wings on opposing sides, making it easier to attach to piping. Round openings at either end. Top opening is 4—inches wide from inside to inside.

Used on a hydraulic mining operation, attached to a monitor, it sprayed water into gold bearing gravel to wash the gravel into a slvile where the gold. Hydraulic mining was in opperation ca. 1892 in SIlverbow Basin.
