Neckerchief
Description:
Red triangle Boy Scout necker—chief/scarf. Necker——chief is hemmed with pink thread. Emblem screen printed in black at center triangle point. Emblem consists of round circle with words "EAGLE RIVER CAMP" around top of circle. Within circle side profile of eagle sited in front of stars constellation of the big dipper and north star, writing within the circle reads "S.E. ALASKA SCOUT CAMP".
Notes:
Vern Harris was donor's father and a Boy Scout scoutmaster. Mike Blackwell has several scouting neckerchiefs, and said this one was made by "Billie" Wells, wife of Ray wells, who was good at fabric stencilling. Vern Harris also carved wooden neckerchief slides, at least two of them, and Dennis may donate them if he finds them.
