A — 5.5 inch brass bell mounted on 5.125 inches by 5.625 inches iron mounting plate.
B — 4.125 inches brass striker arm. 4 inch spring leaded lever for cocking and releasing striker arm.

Notes:
Collected and preserved by Thomas S. Parke. Likely collected from abandoned mining property. Likely used as underground mine station signal bell to identify mine levels for elevator and for blasting and warning signals. May have been from marine use, however iron base plate may not have been appropriate for marine environment.
