The following information was given by Maimi Jensen. Maimi said that the women wanted to clean up the town, so they dressed up and collected cans. The women then threw the bags of collected cans over the Douglas dock.
The photo is of the women celebrating after a day's clean up. Maimi also mentioned that the photo was either taken in the Labor Union Hall or in the Oddfellow's Hall.
