Description:
Black and white photo on brown cardstock, of nine men standing in front of S. Blum Co., formerly The Koehler—James Mercantile Co. Image taken from street level showing front and one side of two story building. Also visible is boardwalk and what appears to be board street. All men in suits except one, who has his jacket off and is wearing apron. Directly behind men are four storefront windows full of merchandise.
Inscription: Written on front in purple ink: "X" (below 1 figure), Harry G. / Juneau, Alaska / 1899". In pencil on proper right margin is street diagram. Written on reverse, in pencil: "When I worked in Alaska 15 months". Written in green ink, "2nd from Right / H. R. GRAHLMAN / JUNEAU ALASKA / 1899". Also written in pencil are numerous numbers and another street diagram.
