Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) docked in front of a wooden aircraft hanger. The hanger has the text "Alaska Southern Airways" on its front and a sign on its roof. The float plane is viewed from the side. The aircraft's nose is facing the hanger. The plane has text on its side reading:"CF—ABK". There is another float plane inside the hanger. Water in foreground. A section of a wooden dock and a ladder are seen in the lower proper right corner of the image. There are two men walking on the dock leading to the hanger. Other buildings and docks in background on the proper left. Water, mountains and clouds (fog) in background. The planes are Canadian Junkers.
Verso has a stamped number "73" in the lower proper right corner in blue ink. Handwritten in pencil on the back is also the words: "gordon \ john \ Cot 2".

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
