To far proper right is partially collapsed oil tank of 700' mine. In center is water filled hole. On proper left edge of hole is one of bunk houses. Logs and boards on front of beach. Numerous cottages perch above cave—in.

Notes:
Veronica Peterman is granddaughter of Robert Kinzie. He was assistant superintendent of Treadwell in early 1904. On Oct 9, 1904 he was appointed superintendent & held that post until 1913, when he resigned. His son, R.A. Kinzie was born in Treadwell in 1903 & was father of Mrs. Peterman.
