Description:
Framed photographic color print of both the 1935 and the 1980 Junea—Douglas bridges while the 1980 bridge is under construction. The photograph is looking from Douglas towards Juneau. The Federal Building is visible on the proper left. There are at least three cars on the 1935 bridge. A man and construction equipment is visible on the 1980 bridge. Photograph is mounted on off—white mat board. Under the proper right corner of the photograph is handwritten text in pencil reading: "Douglas Bridges — '81" and under the proper left corner is handwritten text in pencil reading: "J. Hermle". The frame is gold colored metal with glass. On the back of the frame is handwritten text in black ink reading: "A brief period during 1981 when we had \ two Douglas Bridges. A heavy tripod was \ used for steadiness and good detail."
