Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is perhaps labeled "Hiway—Tee 1 Jan.[?]" in handwriting. The image shows a body of water, probably the Gastineau Channel, stretching across the foreground to far shores at several points in the background. A low hilly shore extends from left in the middling area, complemented at right by a slightly closer shore thick with trees. A tiny island sits between them. At the distant background, a wall of snowcapped mountains lines the farthest shore. The text "21 APR 63P" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper edge.
