Black and white photographic print of a two men on deck of a ship. Both men are in military uniforms. One man is bent over a stretcher attached to a pulley system. The other man is standing near some covered cargo. There is a United States flag attached to the ship's mast. The background features a snow covered landscape.
Verso has had written text in black ink along the upper edge approximately center which reads: "P—510". Approximately at center is a circular stamp with text which reads: "[PASSED B]Y EXAMINER [BASE] 1733 ARMY". The word BASE and "PASSED B" of PASSED BY are undiscernable due to a loss of paper. There is a patch of black paper sticking to a piece of tape approximately center along bottom edge where photograph was once attached to an album page.
Image has a white boarder on all four sides.

Notes:
The US AFF P—510 was an emergency rescue boat in the Aleutians during WWII. 11th Air Force bombed Kiril Islands of Northern Japan in 1943—1945. The 10th Emergency Rescue Boat was assigned to them to recover air crews ditched at sea. The P—510 was built in 1944 by Fellows and Stuart in Wilmington, California with two 1500 HP Packard Engines. It was 85 feet long. Its official description was an Offshore Rescue Boat stationed at Attu.
