Notes:
Fireweed Place is a 5—story, 67—unit senior citizen apartment building located between Willoughby Ave. and Calhoun Ave. and between the State Office Building and the Governor's House in Juneau, Alaska. Its construction was a $9.7 million project funded by a grant from the City—Borough of Juneau and the State as well as by a loan from the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation. Demolition began in May 1993. Two houses on Calhoun Ave. near the Governor's House were demolished along with the Knight Apartments on Willoughby Ave. The ground breaking ceremony took place on April 8, 1994 and the foundation was laid that same month. Fireweed Placed opened in May 1995.
