The van is white and one of the rear doors to the van is open. The closest rear door reads, "Juneau" in purple letters and the license plate reads, "ALASKA / XXC473". The gray and red video camera is resting on a tripod. Trees and shrubbery can be seen in the background.

Reverse is stamped twice in light blue ink, "MAY 1978" and labeled in blue ink, "Oil Fire Control Officer — Rock Dump".
