Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Fish trap Chatham straits Aug. 1955" in handwriting. The image shows a wide swath of water, stretching across the foreground and the middling area of the image. There is a far shore in the distant background, with low mountains and hills sloping toward the water's edge. There is a fishing vessel on the water at left, and another floating near a rock outcropping at the right of the image. The number "34" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
