Description:
Cabinet card photograph. Scene shows a man, wearing a felt hat, holding a knife in his right hand and the ear of a moose in his left hand. There is a dead moose at his feet. In the background is a river with a canoe pulled up on the shore, partially disguised by the trees. The title: "Scene in the Yukon valley." is printed in a wite strip along the bottom center of the image. In the border at the bottom the following is printed (proper right to proper left ): "LANDERKIN & WINTER Photographers Water Front, Juneau, Alaska". On the reverse is writing in pencil, it is illegible.
