A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency"). The frame is labeled "Fed. Bldg. 7/20/64" in handwriting. The image shows an aerial view of downtown Juneau, the Gastineau Channel, and Douglas Island at sunset. Captured from a hillside, the immediate foreground is occupied by treetops. Below that on the near shore, the hollow steel frame of the Federal Building is prominent in the center—left of the foreground. In the background, across the Channel, one of Douglas Island's snowcapped mountains looms overhead. The sky has a purplish hue toward the top of the image.
