Black and white photograph of a man in a pilot's uniform standing at the end of a gangway in front of an airplane. The plane has the text "Alaska Washington" on the side of its body (the "ka Wash" is blocked by the man). The man is facing the proper right side of the photograph and is being viewed from the side. He is standing on a beach. The water line is seen in the middleground under the plane. In the upper proper right corner of the back is a stamped number "5" in blue ink.

Photograph is of A. C. Eckmann in 1929.

The album belonged to William G. Brian Harland. He was a mechanic for Alaska—Washington Airways and Alaska Southern Airways. He was based out of Juneau.
