Title:
Tram with train car
Description:
Fading horizontal black and white photo of tram with train. Hill with tree in mid ground / mountains with snow in background.
Notes:
Jim Geraghty says the area is a little too windswept to be around here. The dock is "native pile," trees pounded in, meant to be temporary. Permanent pilings have creosote...bark is peeled off down to heartwood , a long process involving submerging in creosote in a sealed chamber filled with fuel...put under vacuum and the air in the wood comes out, when you release the vacuum the oil goes in. Told to curator Ellen Carrlee, spring 2006.
