The ark was used to move the Satko family to Alaska from Washington State. When the Coast Guard won't let the whole family go, Mr. Satko & 1 son sailed it to British Colombia, where the rest of the family met them. After the family was aboard they came to the Juneau area where they homesteaded in the Herbert River area.
