Photograph of the sinking of the Princess Kathleen.
Color horizontal photograph of ship close to shoreline. Boat is located in the proper left side of the photograph. Shoreline is seen in the lower proper right corner. Three smaller boats (life boats) are seen in the water between the shoreline and the main ship. Two of those boats have people visible on them. The heads and/or arms of four people are also visible in the foreground.
Notes:
The Princess Kathleen ran aground and sank at Lena Point in Lynn Canal, Alaska on September 7, 1952.
