A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" manilla paper , with handwritten captions on front and back.

B — Black and white photograph of Seattle shoreline. Aerial cityscape taken from over the water. Horizon crosses photo approximately 2/5 of the way down. Caption printed in white box at bottom proper left edge of photo reads "SEATTLE WASH." Five boats visible in water; others are docked. "1935" handwritten in blue ink below photo.

C — Image of totem pole, 0.75" x 3.5", tinted in yellow, blue, and red. Affixed to page close to proper left of B.

D — Black and white photograph (with grey border) of steamship on water taken from proper left side. People visible on deck; mountains in background. Printed on proper right side of photo: "S.S. YUKON 450" and on proper left side: "(c) 30 ORDWAY". Caption above photo: "We sailed from Seattle, Aug. 10—35 for Juneau, Alaska on this steamship. There were tourists from nearly every state in Union on board this vessel. Father Hubbard and his three huskies were also on board." Caption to proper left of photo: "Saturday Aug. 10 1935 at 7:00 in evening".

E — Black and white aerial view of Ketchikan taken from mountains behind the town look out toward the water. Mountains visible in background across the water from the city. City mostly occupies lower proper left quadrant of photo. Labeled in lower proper right corner: "Ketchikan Alaska from Deer Mountain". Captions to proper right and below photo read: "Monday afternoon Aug. 12th 1935" and "After leaving Seattle, traveling two nights, a day and half we came to this town. Having several hours wait here we went ashore to look the town over."

F — Black and white view of Ketchikan shoreline. Town spills down hill from proper left side of photo and extends on pilings out over water on pr side. Mountains on far shore in background. Numerous boats docked along shore. Labeled in white along bottom: "Otto S. Newtown. Ketchikan, Alaska." Caption below photo reads: "This town is noted for its 13 [this number has been added in darker ink] salmon cannery. We went through one of the buildings, there were hundreds and hundreds of cans already for the label outside wrapper."
