A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "Queen + Princesses 7—4—59" in handwriting. The image shows a diagonal view of Fourth Street, looking toward the turn to the left of the Juneau Memorial Library. Elevated buildings loom above the street at left, and a large crowd is gathered along the street under them. The large yellow balloon floats above the crowd at the center of the image. Toward the right, a row of chairs is set up on the street, on which seven women in colorful gowns sit, the one in the center wearing the dark cape of the parade queen. The number "22" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
