Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Armed Forces Day May 20 1950" in handwriting. The image shows a parade, moving north along 4th Street in front of the State Capitol and west onto Main Street. The section of parade marchers in the foreground are clad in Marine Corps dress uniforms, with rifles on their right shoulders. The color guard carry the American and Marine Corps flags. In the background, another section of the parade is visible on 4th Street in green dress uniforms. The number "9" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
