Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Mt. Troy June 1951" in handwriting. The image shows a group of people planting the triple S ensign on a mountaintop, presumably that of Mount Troy. There are both adults and children, with most people grouped to the right of the pole, and two men occupied with planting it. In the distant background, other snowcapped peaks are visible. The number "5" is imprinted on the frame at the upper left.
