Photo taken in front of the Veterans Memorial Library building. Image shows Waino Hendrickson standing at center in a hat looking at his watch. There is a carved totem pole at proper left. Students and adults are lined up to proper left of Hendrickson. Behind him is a sign that says "Vote Here."
Reverse has some glue at center. It is stamped at top proper left: "Aug 27 1958." There is writing in red crayon that relates to it's publication.

The photo was used by the Associated Press, with the caption: A group of Juneau teenagers talks with Acting Alaska Governor. Waino Hendrickson, left, as they wait for polls to open in Memorial Library here early today. Alaskans are voting today on acceptance of statehood, plus state and congressional officers. Nineteen—year—olds and over are eligible to vote.
