Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "1st Jet 2—3—62" in handwriting. The image shows an exterior, with the foreground being occupied by a wide open field extending into the background where there is a low rocky slope with a steep drop at left, and farther snowcapped peaks at the center. In the foreground, a number of people stand grouped together in a grassy patch, all gazing in the direction of the mountains. In the center of the image, at the middling area before the background, there is a short gray, drum like structure peaking from the ground. The entire scene is blanketed in snow. The number "6" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left. Also bears the printed text "JUL 62P" on the bottom edge, perhaps indicating when the slide was developed.
