Description:
Black and white postcard has five views of the Alaska Hotel: cafe, sample room, main entrance, office and room with bath. Reverse describes features of "Juneau's Leading Hotel". Addressed to Mrs. Edw. Webster in San Francisco in fountain pen gray ink. Message is "am looking for the Kewpie look. DA.D". Green one cent stamp is postmarked from Juneau "Feb. 21, 1914 6 p.m."
Notes:
The Alaskan Hotel, which opened 9/16/13, is located 167 S. Franklin St. It is on the Register of Historical Places. It is the oldest surviving hotel in continuous operation in Juneau.
