Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Auke Bay Salmon Derby Seattle Queen 7/27/56" in handwriting. The image shows four vessels traveling on the waters of Auke Bay. At left, there is the prow of a large white vessel, presumably the Seattle Queen. At right of this vessel is a small red motorboat with two people on it. Farther to the right and in the background are two other vessels of indeterminate size, though the one at the extreme periphery seems considerable. The layered far shore is visible, bearing rounded peaks. The number "3" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
