Black and white photo of a waterfall cascading down a slope with a railway and flume running along the bottom of a gully. The postcard is addressed to : "The Kelseys"
Inscription: "SPILLWAY—SALMON—CREEK—DAM ALASKA."
Notes:
From Mrs. Mary Kelsey, sister—in—law to Sam Kelsey Jr. & Louella Kelsey McMullen James. Louella taught school at Treadwell School until it closed, ca. 1920. Sam, mining engineer, came to Juneau as government surveyor. He worked for Alaska Supply Co., manager Henry Shattuck, Kensington Mining Co. in 1913 & Alaska Gastineau Mining Co.
Correspondence: Letters from Sam Jr. to his family were sent to Alaska Historical Library. Postcards signed "Lou" were written by Louella.
