Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) tied up to a wooden dock. Image views plane from the front. It has two pontoons and a nose propeller. Text on the bottom of the plane's left wing reads: "NC 657—E". There is a wooden barrel on the dock with some kind of crank on top of it. Tree covered mountains, water and a buildings (AJ Mine) are seen in the background. Verso has a stamped "55" in the lower proper right corner in bluish—purple ink.

Photograph is of the float plane named "Ketchikan" at that Alaska—Washington Airways Juneau hanger in 1929.
