Description:
Color, horizontally orientated postcard featuring an illustration of a city located at the base of a mountain and along a water way. The city is Juneau, Alaska, the mountain is Mount Juneau and the waterway is the Gastineau Channel. Douglas Island is seen in the background. The original bridge connecting Douglas Island and downtown Juneau is seen in the background towards the proper right edge. The state capitol building is seen towards the proper left edge just above center. Trees fill the lower proper left corner. Black typed text in the blue sky reads: "C—149. Juneau, Alaska". A white boarder surrounds the image on all four sides.

Verso has text identifying the object as a postcard as well as the proper place to put a postage stamp, address and correspondence. Text in the upper proper left corner reads: "JUNEAU, ALASKA / Juneau, the Capital of Alaska, is situation on / Gastineau Channel about 1,033 miles northwest / of Seattle. The settlement and development of / Juneau depend largely on mining, it being situ— / ated in what is known as the "Juneau Gold Belt.""
