Description:
Black and white photograph of a float plane (sea plane) tied up to a coast line. Text on the side of the plane reads: "NORTHERN AIR TRANSPORT INC." Text on the tail of the aircraft reads: "NC10365 \ BELLANCA \ 4". There is a man standing on top of the plane. He has one foot on the wings and one on the roof of the cabin. There is a bucket sitting on top of the wings next to his left foot. A second man is standing on the aircraft's right pontoon near the plane's propeller. At least three additional people are standing or sitting on the shore. Shore has debris and cargo on it. A boat and buildings in the background on the shore. Water and mountainous landscape in background. Verso has a stamped number "2" in blue ink in the upper proper left corner. Handwritten text in pencil reads: "gassing up — Ruby". The photograph was taken at Ruby, Alaska located on the Yukon River.
